3M™ Perfect-It™ Polishing Foam Pads Coarse are the most powerful foam polishing pads from 3M. They are suitable for fine sanding of sanding scratches, polishing at slow speed, removing small imperfections and more. The foam surface provides greater surface contact, absorbs polish better and reduces splattering. Double-sided pads can be used with the 3M™ Quick Connect adapters on rotary polishers; single-sided pads can be used with the Hookit™ system, which allows for easy replacement.

Our 3M™ Perfect-It™ Polishing Foam Pads Coarse offer the highest performance for every stage of the polishing process, combining features that save time and improve results. The textured pads absorb more polishing compound and prevent splattering. They also offer a larger contact surface and greater efficiency. Double-sided and single-sided designs can be combined with our Quick Connect and Hookit™ quick change systems to save time and extend pad life. Choose from a variety of pads for specific applications such as working on cured paint with a hard or medium finish, removing small imperfections and removing scratches or sanding marks (P1200 grit or finer) - even in hard-to-reach areas. We have developed these foam pads as part of our Perfect-It™ colour-coded polishing system specifically for the ever-evolving paint and clear coat technologies. Foam pads are generally less aggressive and produce a finer finish than wool pads, making them ideal for the critical polishing steps in the repainting process. They can typically operate at higher speeds and rely on a combination of cutting and heat generation to easily melt the topcoat and remove fine scratches and swirl marks. Our double-sided 3M™ Perfect-It™ coarse polishing foam pads are equipped with a centre piece to extend the service life and can be used with our Quick Connect adapter. The metal adapter has a 5/8-inch thread that allows our polishing pads to be quickly attached and centred on a variety of standard rotary polishers. They can be removed just as quickly, which makes changing the pads easier and saves time. Thanks to our Hookit™ Velcro attachment, single-sided 3M™ Perfect-It™ polishing foam pads can be attached, removed and reattached coarsely quickly, cleanly and easily to maximise workshop time. Hookit™ pads have J-shaped hooks, as known from everyday hook and loop fasteners. Hookit™ backing pads grip the brushed nylon loops of the 3M™ Perfect-It™ polishing foam pads roughly and hold them firmly and securely even during intensive use. They can also be removed very quickly, which saves time during multi-stage polishing work. 3M™ Perfect-It™ Polishing Foam Pads Coarse are our highest performing double and single sided foam polishing pads. They are an integral part of our 3M™ Perfect-it™ paint system - designed when the finest finish is required for every stage of clearcoat and paint repair.
